The Sun newspaper article Tuesday 27th September 2011

Fans of tragic rocker Stuart Adamson have forked out for a uniquememorial in his home town.
A park bench inscribed with lyrics will celebrate the life of the Big Country and Skids star.

The tribute by a lilly pond in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline was the idea of devoted fan Gwen Matthews. It overlooks The Glen Pavilion where Big Country began their rise to fame.

Fans chose which lyrics would go on the bench in a Facebook Poll.

The rock world was shocked when Adamson committed suicide in Hawaii in 2011 aged 43.

Fan Colin Gourlay said: “Dunfermline was the place Stuart considered his spiritual home.”
